![]() ![]() exe for FTL and run the game just fine, but for Obra Dinn I had to set up a virtual drive and run it through PlayOnLinux, otherwise I'd get an error message regarding Directx11 and unsupported device. I installed Wine, Winetricks and PlayonLinux and have successfully used it to play a few games like FTL or Return of the Obra Dinn, and here is where some of my questions start. I did install Steam, no issues there or playing its native Linux titles, and Mint handled the video drivers perfectly, which is a major plus for me since they have been a pain in Windows (AMD A8-7100 and R7 M265 if it matters). I am not planning to run anything big by any means, just interested in having a few light games in place for when the need arises. I do have a few questions specifically regarding gaming that I was hoping I could get some help with. ![]() A few minor hiccups, but nothing major thus far. ![]() The computer is much faster, boots nearly as fast as my much more powerful and SSD equipped desktop, the UI is intuitive, etc. I went with Mint Cinnamon 20.2 and so far it has been a pretty positive experience. So, I decided to give Linux a shot on my crappy laptop after formatting it, to see if I could squeeze more performance out of it. I have some experience on Windows, but none on Linux until now. ![]() Hey everyone! First of all, apologies for any infuriatingly ignorant things I do or say. ![]()
